Se a\u00f1ade al agua de las glaseadoras en bajas concentraciones aportando caracter\u00edsticas de elasticidad y antioxidantes, evitando roturas de la capa de hielo en el proceso de congelaci\u00f3n. Al usarlo se obtiene capa de hielo uniforme protectora ante quemaduras en la superficie producidas por las bajas temperaturas.
